What a fantastic morning we had in Barcaldine. Everyone was on time and we rode out the gate at 0805 as per our plans. We rode into the town in Barcaldine representing the WW1 light horse, Militia and country riders.
Three groups who met at the Cenotaph from three different directions.
We spent 45 minutes at the Cenotaph remembering the Battle of Beersheba and the brave Lighthorsemen and their horses who rode through the desert to beat the Turkish army and win the water in the wells for allied forces.
Below are pics taken by Beaver Robson of the event.
